The Health Research Board of Ireland have some scholarship positions for the benefit of applicants.

Applicants:
- Must provide proof of professional registration from the appropriate authorized body in the Republic of Ireland
- Must be able to demonstrate at least 12 months whole time equivalent (WTE) experience in cancer nursing since professional registration
- Must demonstrate research experience at primary or master’s degree level in a relevant discipline
- Must provide evidence of appropriate mentoring arrangements to provide appropriate academic and clinical/practice-based support. These individuals should be suitably qualified and together demonstrate the expertise relevant to the project with regard to the methodology and the research area. Each mentor will provide the applicant with the necessary research guidance and training
- Applicants should currently be employed in a practice based role in healthcare or be in a post related to practice in a higher education institute in Ireland. Applicants must either: provide direct care for people with cancer in Ireland or be involved in the delivery of education for nurses providing direct care for people with cancer in Ireland.
